Peanuts are an extremely versatile source of nutrition for your wild birds as they are a high calorie treat packed full of natural oils, fat, fibre, protein, essential vitamins and minerals. Greatly beneficial during the colder months as well as the breeding season, you will have a variety of birds flocking to your feeders as they provide the extra energy boost they need. Argentinian peanuts are aflatoxin tested and due to the drying process can have a shriveled appearance – the nutritional value is not impaired. Ideally you should feed whole peanuts from a mesh peanut feeder although they can be fed from a table or on the ground. However, feeding from the ground or a table should be avoided during the breeding season as loose whole peanuts can cause choking if fed to young chicks. Birds that you may attract with Premium Peanuts are: Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Collared Dove, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, Greenfinch, House Sparrow, Long-Tailed Tit, Marsh Tit, Nuthatch, Siskin, Starling and Wood Pigeon. All our Premium Peanuts are tested by our supplier and then again before they enter the warehouse to ensure they are aflatoxin free and are safe for your wild birds to feed upon. Aflatoxin is a poisonous fungus that is harmful to birds. The shape and size of the peanuts may slightly differ in appearance but this will not affect the nutritional value or quality of the peanut. Our peanuts are always tested for BRC standard quality.
